I said last year, when things looked really dismal, that I thought Americans in general were better people than one would think based on the behavior of our leaders, the standard media stereotypes and the antics of our celebrities. I believed we would take up the challenge to change, to innovate, to make things better.
I know that I wax poetic and, maybe even dip into naivete some times, but I am passionate about the ability of people to create communities and lives that are meaningful and joyous. It is our natural inclination to do so.
