Charleston County has announced plans to provide emergency information on the Emergency Management Department’s new Facebook page, and also to tweet about emergencies on Twitter, at www.twitter.com/chascountygov.
CARTA is raising their fares, too.
The basic fare will increase from $1.50 to $1.75, reflecting a 16 percent increase approved by the CARTA board for all of its passes and fares.
