Happy Birthday, Chuck! (and other Friday notes)
Yesterday, local blogger Chuck Boyd, who just celebrated his 70th birthday, wrote:
I had toyed with the idea of having 70 blazing candles on my milestone cake, but my sister-in-law summed it up well: “A 7 and a 0 is easier to handle than 70.”
Well, at the Lowcountry Bloggers meetup last night, Chuck got just that: 70 blazing candles. Very cool — or warm.
More fun last night: There was another rave at Addlestone Library at College of Charleston. Rather Moore has a special rave edition of ADDnews.
On a completely unrelated note, Theo Moore doesn’t think Windows 7 is a big deal.
There’s plenty of swine flu information and even more misinformation out there — be alert for scams.
Best of luck to Kristin as she’ll be running the North Carolina Marathon tomorrow!
Finally, some great news for the Bradburns.
Want to volunteer for roundups? Don’t forget to sign up for May. Ask Heather or Dan all about how to contribute to Lowcountry Bloggers.
Jared Smith blogs at jaredwsmith.com in whatever spare time he can find (which isn’t much).
