Let’s Get Social
Whether you MySpace or FriendFeed, it’s time to FaceBook it and notice that many locals utilize social media as a means to network, socialize, and promote their content.
BlackBaud Blogger and founder of GoGreenCharleston.org Chad Norman was featured on the Internet radio show “Ask Without Fear.”
Cheryl is a big fan of ping.fm.
Even though I still utilize it, my money says it may be too late for Twitter to reverse it’s slump, but just in case, George reminds brand developers the importances of covering all the bases:
Twitter names are being snatched up. Have you secured your brand on Twitter? There have already been instances of people posing as employees of big companies and famous people. One example is Exxon Mobil. Another is marketing guru Seth Godin.
Elonkey has jumped on the Twitter train, but may I suggest FriendFeed?
Michael Lively suggests copywriting for social networking. Interesting.

Thanks for the mention, Heather.
Re: Copywriting and social networking…
I was specifically referring to a job I had where I combed sites like citydata.com, commenting on boards and steering people (subtly? obnoxiously?) toward my clients’ products and services. It was tough to make it sound organic and not like complete spam…which it was!

We get a lot of that on Home Ec 101 and promptly delete it.
