One Week to Go
Patrick sums up my thoughts on the final week of this two year campaign:
This next week promises to be full of more bitter attacks, more of those forwarded emails that lie and distort virtually everything, that no one bothers to take the time to fact-check before sending them on to the next victim, and more nasty political spots that turn the stomaches of everyone except the most blindly-loyal candidate supporters.
For some such as Kim’s husband, the vote has already been cast with an absentee ballot.
Greg Hambrick notes his thoughts on the Ketner v. Brown debate.
Elonkey notes the Ketner v Brown race may be close:
A year ago, I would have never thought this possible. But if African-American turnout is as strong as it’s projected to be on Election Day, there’s a real chance Ketner could turn this blood Red district Blue on November 4.
Victoria shares resources for local voters.
Babbie points out that clumsy language on the ballot creates the potential for confusion.
Earl Capps has been prolific lately, endorsing several candidates.
Phylicia Rashad will be stumping at TTC this afternoon.
For a quick chuckle, check out Rev. BigDumbChimp’s comment on Ted Stevens’ conviction.
Both New Wars Mike and Dan Conover comment on a recent interview with Joe Biden.
The elitist reaction by Obama/Biden is astonishing. Glad that this lady for a brief moment brought the Democrat’s down to earth with the rest of us.
Dan:
Remember that wingnut interview of Biden in Florida? I love the way some people think this was exactly the way Couric/Gibson/Etc. treated Palin, that liberals simply expect special treatment, that Barbara West’s interview was good, unbiased journalism and the treatment of Republicans is bad uniformly bad, partisan hackery. Argue amongst yourselves about liberal bias, but as for West’s agenda, judge for yourself.
