Storming In With Today’s Round Up

It’s certainly been a stormy night in the lowcountry, in fact the thunder is still rumbling in the distance as I sit here writing this.

Amanda’s Ramblings mentions the storms, although she’s referring to those that rumbled through the area last evening

Staying on the subject of weather, or at least climate, check out Fridaville where Frida Kahlo mention a book full of stories that happened when the River Thames in London froze over. Lots more of interest too.

Getting back really local, The Newsless Courier takes the Charleston County School Board, or rather one of its members, to task in no uncertain terms!

For those more technically inclined head over to Eugene Mah’s Imablog where you can see a dissection that’s taken place. I promise you though, that it’s not all gory; it’s not THAT kind, you’ll see.

Nothing gory at all either, at Compost In My Shoe, just great photographs of lilacs.

Elvis might have sung it almost 40 years ago, but some things never change. Read ‘Return To Sender’ at Chuckography to find out more.

Something fishy has been going on at White Point, See the photographs at Charleston Angler

Dave Moulton says “Ignore Everybody’. Well not quite, but he reviews a book by that name which is inspring reading for any kind of artist or creative person. Read more over at Dave Moulton’s Bike Blog

Ian, my husband, often mutters about the amount of dressing on salads, and he thinks a good tasty salad needs very little if any at all. You might agree with him after you check out these delicious recipes at Hugging The Coast

That about wraps up my round up for today. As usual, I’ve only been able to scrape the tip of the iceberg (yes, one might almost be welcome here, when it’s 90 degrees outside), when checking out the lowcountry blogs.

As always, you can find me at The Filipino Friends.
