The One with Clafoutis

I may have included this post from Tartelette just because I like saying Muscadine Frangipane Clafoutis.  Or it might be because as usual, the end result looks delicious:

I found some more great images in this post from Chuck Boyd, looking back at pictures he took of his father’s work:

The Cosmopolitan Charlestonian takes us on a virtual walk across the Ravenel bridge:

one of the very best things about it is the 12 foot biking and walking platform extending off the Charleston Harbor side of the bridge. The addition makes the bridge a destination in and of itself, and taking the time to walk it can be a pleasurable and unique experience. In fact, short of strapping a set of home-constructed wings to your back and leaping off the barn roof, taking in the sites and sounds at the high point of the bridge is as close as a human can come to being at one with their inner bird.

Bottles to the Sea shares some of the comments he hears when going about his recycling efforts:

“Stop trying to save the world, Ed” as I picked a few bottles out of a trashcan at work.

(editorial note:  Don’t stop trying to save the world!)
