Trying to Beat the Heat (and Humidity)
If you had one word to describe the past week in Charleston, it would be “Hot”. If you had a second word, it would be “Humid”.
A few lucky bloggers found a great way to beat the heat at the Circa 1886 ice cream contest. Stephanie from the City Paper summed it up nicely:

Chuck seemed mostly concerned with tasting them all as many times as he could, and trying to get invited back.
For those of us who didn’t get invited to any ice cream contests, there are other options. Denise at Uniquely Tea suggests a rosemary-laced lemonade tea that sounds awesome. Ricsha Kinard is just excited for cheap drinks at Sonic Happy Hour.
Me, I just plan to stay inside this month!
